The CND meeting was attended by representatives of 53 countries and was chaired by Pakistani Ambassador Mansoor Ahmad Khan. One country did not participate in the referendum.

It should be noted that this does not mean that the general use of cannabis has been allowed, but it is still on the list of "drugs". However, its status has been reduced from "dangerous" to "normal", meaning it can be used for medical purposes. the united nations have removed in world  mudassar iqbal cannabis

The decision will leave UN member states free to legally allow the medical use of cannabis.

Under the auspices of the United Nations, the World Drug Commission added cannabis to its list of "dangerous drugs" in 1961 and imposed the toughest international sanctions on it. Thus, after 59 years, the status of cannabis has changed and it has been declared less dangerous.
